Leaving Kate sleeping with my Mom, the three of us (Paul, Will and I) ventured to the West Mobile Wal-Mart. Diapers and pictures were on the list… I had made an online order of photos from Kate’s first days to start her scrapbook. We picked up the goods and were on the way home when I started to check out the photos.
They were HORRIBLE.
Inspired by Gwen’s bold return, we turned the car around. With a deep breath and shoulders back, I hopped out and strode to the Customer Service counter. It took a phone call to the photo center and a manager approval, but they took back the photos and gave me my money back. Yuk. I’ll just stick with the kodak gallery for now on.

While it wasn’t at Wal-Mart it was at Costco when I picked up my photos and had to return them…
They were of a very attractive African American Family on vacation in the Bahamas! I had to argue with Costco photos that they weren’t my photos!
It will be fun for Wyatt and I to find a new photo lab we trust (we use a local place here in Alexandria) and can ask stupid camera questions of…

HOORAY FOR YOU! lots of places do accept photo returns, the lab at target (you can get free prints if you use them for the first time too) is great, they let you review them right there and you only have to buy the ones that you want.

The first and only time I used Wal-Mart for pictures was while visiting Helena, Montana. It took them three hours to do our hour pictures because they kept screwing them up. We asked for them on CD, and when we got the CDs, they’d be blank. At one point, the woman asked us to wait, because she had just gotten an order to do 10 rolls … at which point, the only black guy in Montana just exploded and told her ass that we were here first, and if it took all day to get our pictures, she was going to do them first … and by the way, our pictures were now free. Guess who then got their pictures lickety-split …
