A water heater from 1996
\nChose Thursday night to go ker-frix.
\nTwo times it rained in the kitchen
\nUsing lots of towels and bucket switchin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122.<\/p>\n
All night long Paul stayed to bail
\nThe quickly refilling basin pail
\nWhen no more water was falling (plop!)
\nHe left for the coffee shop.<\/p>\n
Francisco (a contractor) was there, too,
\nAnd told Paul he would see him through.
\nFrantically Paul drove through town
\nTracking a water heater down.<\/p>\n
The truck clutch gave out, what? More bad luck?
\nBut to come was the biggest \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcoh my, f*ck!\u00e2\u20ac\u2122
\nBecause when the monster tank was finally inside
\nWe discovered it was much too wide.<\/p>\n
Francisco saved the day there, too,
\nThe owner picked it up \u00e2\u20ac\u201c thank you!
\nPlumbers arrived and made a fix
\n(Though the water now looks like brownie mix)<\/p>\n
The old heaters that run on gas
\nHave clearly kicked our ass
\nSo with the advice from the crew
\nA tankless system we will debut.<\/p>\n
Later this week, the plumbers most pragmatic
\nWill return and install it in the attic.<\/p>\n
All and all, we feel quite lucky
\nBecause what if Paul had been in Kentucky?
\nOnly minor damage in the house
\nAnd big-time help from a friend of my spouse.<\/p>\n

\nAfter spraying insulation under a home
\nMake sure drain pipes are free of clogging foam.<\/p>\n
