I know what you think.<\/p>\n

You think it’s not for you, this Mardi Gras thing.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe you don’t see yourself as much of a drinker.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe you’re a little put-off by the whole girls-gone-wild thing; you weren’t the type to want to do Spring Break in South Beach even when you were in college.\u00c2\u00a0 So you figure that Mardi Gras isn’t for you.\u00c2\u00a0 And also?\u00c2\u00a0 That city?\u00c2\u00a0 New Orleans?\u00c2\u00a0 Well, you saw the pictures and heard the stories and it’s a mess.\u00c2\u00a0 You can’t figure out why people would even want to live there, let alone visit.<\/p>\n

You’ve thought at least some of those things, I feel certain.\u00c2\u00a0 I fully admit that until I moved here, I thought THE VERY SAME THING.\u00c2\u00a0 Actually, both Paul and I did.\u00c2\u00a0 And now we can say that we were very wrong.<\/p>\n

New Orleans is an absolutely fantastic place to be, especially during Carnival season — and especially for families.\u00c2\u00a0 As an example, here is our family, enjoying parades this past Sunday morning.\u00c2\u00a0 Music, laughter, conversation, floats, horses, football, dancers, prizes, and of course, beads.<\/p>\n

Krewes of Okeanos<\/a>, Mid-City<\/a>, and Thoth<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Vantage on Magazine Street.<\/p>\n
