Like last year, I am doing a post round-up <\/a>by listing the first sentences from the first post from each month in 2009.<\/p>\n

Looking back on that post, I see that I made a few blog-related resolutions.\u00c2\u00a0 Things I would do, or finish, or whatever.\u00c2\u00a0 Predictably, I did none of them.\u00c2\u00a0 Resolutions are not my strong-suit.<\/p>\n

But wait!\u00c2\u00a0 I may be redeemed… were any of my first sentences improvements on those from last year??<\/p>\n

January<\/a>: “You will not believe what I am about to tell you.”<\/p>\n

February<\/a>: “Remember the back of our house?”<\/p>\n

March<\/a>: “We’d been discussing it for years, when would be the best time?”<\/p>\n

April<\/a>: ““Stand by Me” performed by musicians around the world<\/a>”<\/p>\n

May<\/a>: “I took these last fall in Boston — my continued obsession with shutter speed.”<\/p>\n

June<\/a>: “Did that belly dancing<\/a> class make us uppity?”<\/p>\n

July<\/a>: “Surprise!”<\/p>\n

August<\/a>: “The last two days have been a bit of a daze, punctuated by periodic conversations that go something like this, “where the heck are we?””<\/p>\n

September<\/a>: “I wrote each name and order of comment on a little slip of paper, folded them up, and stuck them in bowls — one for new friends and one for the old friends.”<\/p>\n

October<\/a>: “On the can.”<\/p>\n

November<\/a>: “Will had his second ear surgery on Friday.”<\/p>\n

December<\/a>: “Try as I may, I just can’t get the job of independently wealthy woman of leisure.”<\/p>\n

Maybe half-credit?\u00c2\u00a0 Good enough.<\/p>\n
