(Writ in the style of “The Piggy in the Puddle<\/a>” — my favorite children’s story to read out loud.)<\/p>\n

See the Mommy.
\nSee her study.
\nSee the Mommy in the middle of her silly little study.
\nSee her cruddy, see her bloody
\nin the fuddy, duddy, study.
\nSee her muddy, down and ruddy, in the silly little study.<\/p>\n

See the Daddy,
\nchummy-tummy, chummy-tummy, chummy-tummy.
\n“Don’t you get all crummy, dummy, Mummy, Mummy, Mummy!
\nYou are much to smart and sassy to be in the down and ruddies.
\nResearch is oofy, research is poofy, research is oh-so oofy-poofy!
\nWhat you need is lots of HOPE.
\nBut the Mommy answered, “oofy-poofy, oofy-poofy, NOPE!”<\/p>\n

See her Babies.
\nCutey-tooty, cutey-tooty, cutey-tooty.
\n“Just stop that writing – lighting, nighting, fighting, miting, citing!
\nYou are much too Mommy Dearest not to be so often near us.
\nResearch is willy, research is nilly, research is oh-so willy-nilly.
\nWhat you need is lots of HOPE.”
\nBut the Mommy answered, “willy-nilly, willy-nilly, NOPE.”<\/p>\n

Now they all stood by her research,
\nRight beside the murky research.
\nAnd they looked into the ‘search,
\nWhat a messy, murky, murch!<\/p>\n

There was Mommy, cruddy and bloody,
\ngetting beat up by her study.
\nShe was reading, she was writing,
\nshe was drinking to be wired.
\nShe was listening, she was talking,
\nshe was very very tired.<\/p>\n

Said the Daddy,
\nMummy-Mommy, you have made me very proud.<\/p>\n

Said the Babies,
\nMommy-Mummy, you are a sun behind a cloud.<\/p>\n

Said the Mommy,
\nI thank you, but for this I am avowed.<\/p>\n

See the Mommy and her study
\nwith her family in a huddy.
\nThey are loving, they are listening,
\nto the very daunting study.<\/p>\n

Said the Mommy,
\n“Oofy-poofy, willy-nilly, oofy-poofy…
\nIndeed,” said tired Mommy,
\n“I think we lack in hope.”<\/p>\n

But Daddy and the Babies answered,
\n“Oofy-poofy — NOPE!”<\/p>\n
