Blogger has adopted a &#8220;it&#8217;s your problem, do the work&#8221; attitude.  Their response, below:<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"font-style: italic;\"><p>Hi there,<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your note. It is our policy to respond to notices of alleged<br \/>infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (the<br \/>text of which can be found at the U.S. Copyright Office website:<br \/><a onclick=\"return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)\" href=\"http:\/\/lcweb.loc.gov\/copyright\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/lcWeb.loc.gov\/copyright<wbr>\/<\/a> ) and other applicable intellectual<br \/>property laws, which may include removing or disabling access to material<br \/>claimed to be the subject of infringing activity.<\/p>\n<p>To file a notice of infringement with us, you must provide a written<br \/>communication (by fax or regular mail, not by email) that sets forth the<br \/>items specified below. Please note that pursuant to that Act, you may be<br \/>liable to the alleged infringer for damages (including costs and<br \/>attorneys&#8217; fees) if you materially misrepresent that you own an item when<br \/>you in fact do not. Indeed, in a recent case (please see<br \/><a onclick=\"return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.onlinepolicy.org\/action\/legpolicy\/opg_v_diebold\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.onlinepolicy.org<wbr>\/action\/legpolicy\/opg_v<wbr>_diebold\/<\/a> for more<br \/>information), a company that sent an infringement notification seeking<br \/>removal of online materials that were protected by the fair use doctrine<br \/>was ordered to pay such costs and attorneys fees. The company agreed to<br \/>pay over $100,000. Accordingly, if you are not sure whether material<br \/>available online infringes your copyright, we suggest that you first<br \/>contact an attorney.<\/p>\n<p>To expedite our ability to process your request, please use the following<br \/>format (including section numbers):<\/p>\n<p>1. Identify in sufficient detail the copyrighted work that you believe has<br \/>been infringed upon. This must include identification of specific posts,<br \/>as opposed to entire sites. Posts must be referenced by either the dates<br \/>in which they appear or the permalink of the post.
