You won't see significant social programs over the next decade, not with our economic mess. Not even if we pare back the military -- we'll need all the savings we can get for debt service. I'm just hoping for a president that will keep things from getting worse -- namely, stop borrowing so much cheese -- and maybe improve things enough to keep the American middle class from disappearing from the pages of history once the Chinese and Saudis decide that maybe they should work with euros or pounds sterling, and not dollars. And that day is coming hella soon. I wonder if I you can contribute a Roth IRA in pounds? Why save in dollars if the dollar is depreciating in value, long term?
