Hollie, Paul, Will and Kate-
Congratulations doesn't sound meaningful enough for the things your family has endured and triumphed over this past year. Kate is absolutely beautiful and such a gift. I'm so relieved that you both are okay.
Much love-
Amy and Paul Speed
PS You do know that this ties us together in another way. She was born on Bobby's birthday. I'm tellin' ya, it was written in the stars that our families will always be friends no matter what side of the world we are on. :) Love ya-Amy

Congratulations! I'm so excited for you! I'm very happy that they doctor trusted his instincts and took the baby out by C-Section--a couple weeks ago I read a fairly unknown things that happens during childbirth when the baby has pooped in the fluid, where the amino sac breaks off from the lining of the uterus, causing very intense contractions, etc (basically, your story), and then some of the amino fluid gets into the mother's bloodstream, and she dies instantly--(one in 6,000 births this happens). Reading your story was an exact replica of what happened to this other woman, except that he cries of "I've given birth before and this time something is very very different", where ignored--

I got chills reading it--I knew by the fact you wrote it, everything worked out okay, but I was amazed how similar the stories were--

Congratulations!!! (The good side of modern medicine :) I wish all the best for you and Kate and your family--

Love,
Tara (from H.S.)
